Bardock was Goku's father, and husband of Gine. He was Planet Vegeta's last line of defense before Frieza destroyed it with a Supernova. He was also the protagonist of the movie, "Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku".

- Bardock has never canonically gone Super Saiyan, although he does so in the non-canon Episode of Bardock special. Xenoverse 2 was the playable debut of the form in a fighting game, though it Bardock also attains Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z for Kinect.
