Finishing Blow is a is a Strike Super Attack used by Whis.

In Game Data[]

  • Description: Attacks with a powerful chop! Use this near the opponent to appear behind them, or after knocking the opponent away for an effective follow-up! You can immediately perform other attacks on hit.
  • Ki used: 100
  • Obtained from: training with Whis

Properties[]

User performs a chop laced with purple energy, dealing low damage and restanding the opponent. User can immediately cancel into movement, basic attacks or other skills, but not directly into a stamina break. If used while opponent is in a knockback inflicted by the user, or very close to the opponent, user will quickly teleport to perform the attack.

Usage Tips[]

Thanks to its quick speed in landing and restand hitstun, it is a very powerful combo tool and a great glue for strike builds in general. It works out of borderline any knockback if you can act fast enough and allows you to land a lot of slow short ranged skills, such as the drain skills, fully charged Sledgehammer, Sauzer Blade, Darkness Rush or Time Skip/Molotov. Compared to Feint Crash, a similar skill of Cooler, it is much faster, landing out of shorter knockbacks, but deals less damage. It also has an opposite relationship in its basics cancels, Finishing Blow cancels into most basics except a raw stamina break, while Feint Crash cancels into a raw stamina break, but not other basics. Due to allowing user to quickly go into their racial specific break combo, or just step canceling right after using the skill allowing them to break off it anyway, Finishing Blow is overall more flexible of the two.

Cast Usage[]

  • Whis

Trivia[]

  • The skill description appears glitched on the Nintendo Switch version, cutting off the final part "immediately perform other attacks on hit."
