"I do so hope that my new power is to your liking." ― In-Game Description
|
Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) is the 53rd DLC character to be added to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. He is one of two characters available for access in the Future Saga: Chapter 3 DLC coinciding with Broly (DB Super).
After joining forces with Fu in the story mode, Frieza, intrigued by his Ultra Supervillain experiments, partakes in the mad scientist's endeavor and adapts to the Ultra Supervillain crystal's corruption in his golden form, becoming the first character under it's influence thus far to do so.
With this power, Frieza creates a time rift and corrupts Shenron in Conton City with the same Ultra Supervillain energy, allowing his wish to be the new Supreme Kai of Time to be acknowledged.

Appearences[]
Story Mode[]
Combos[]
- Light String (9L): First few hits consists of a mix of tail and leg action then follows up with three death beams and ends with a knockdown. Frieza will fire out more death beams if the last input is a heavy, ending the same way as his 5L3H.
- Heavy String (5H): Performs a leg + tail combo.
- LHH: Strikes forward with his elbow, then a knee kick upwards and finishes off with a Death Slash.
- 5L3H: Similarly to the light string, Frieza unleashes multiple death beams towards the end of the combo, then chases after with a headbutt that launches his opponent forward. If the combo ends with the light attack input instead, the oppoent will instead be stunned into place.
- Alternating String: Fast, vanishing movements with a similar finishing animation to the Frieza Race CaC heavy string.
- Grab: Same as the Supreme Kai of Time's, trapping his opponent in a time bubble and directing them downward with force.
- Light Break: Brings his arm forward in a chopping-like motion.
- Heavy Break: Twirl's his entire body forward in a vertical manner, sending the opponent downward.
- Backhit: Whips his tail to stun his enemy in place.
Trivia[]
- This is the first Frieza variant since the original Xenoverse game to be added to the series with updated combos and revamped facial expressions, seperating him uniquely from hie other counterparts.
- He is the first Ultra Supervillain to not be under Fu's control; rather, he is the one controlling his own Ultra Supervillain state.
- This design of Frieza may be a possible reference/stand in to his "Black Frieza" form in the Dragon Ball Super Manga series.
