Parallel Quests[]
Parallel Quest 150 - "Battle of the Mind"
"Jiren is summoned to a strange place where he must fight warriors born from his memories. Help him take them out!"
One of Jiren (FP)'s only appearence in a Parallel Quest. Jiren, in a state of confusion, must fight the warriors seen from the Tournament Of Power. He first comes across the Saiyan Girls from Universe 6, and while he finds the Saiyan species themself "interesting", he notes these two as inferior to the ones from Universe 7. He and the player then has to face off against Kefla (Super Saiyan) & SSGSS Vegeta (Evolved). Afterwards, Android 17 (DB Super), Gohan (Adult) & Golden Frieza enters the picture once the former two Saiyans are defeated. And finally, he then faces off against his greatest opponent yet...Goku, who is seen flying down in his Ultra Instinct state. Toppo (God of Destruction) joins in as well, which helps Jiren remember what had happened.
Story Mode[]
Jiren (FP) makes an appearence in the Story Mode mission for the Legendary Pack 2 DLC. Jiren, irritated that Broly (Full Power Super Saiyan) was avoiding fighting him, powers up into his Full Powered state, finally grabbing the attention of the Brute on his mindless rampage.
As the two clash, they end up fighting in the Shattered Dimension for a short period of time, before Jiren releases a Full Power Energy Wave and Broly returns it with a Gigantic Roar, leading to an intense beam struggle. As a result of all the energy radiating from this fight, Fu uses the opportunity to steal it for himself before leaving the Timeline to it's fate.
It's unknown what happens next, but it's likely that, since the Timeline onwards faced no trouble/major changes afterwards, it can be inferred that Jiren (FP) came out on top of the beam struggle.
Combos[]
- Light String (9L): A flurry of quick, rapid punches that end with a knockback. Can immediately follow up with Power Impact or Impact Flare.
- Heavy String (5H): Ends with Jiren twirling the opponent behind with his left arm. Can follow up with Power Wall.
- LHH: A punch, an uppercut and a rotating heel kick that knocks down the opponent. Power Rush can immediately follow suit.
- 5L3H: Same back and forth punches before kneeing the opponent upwards on the 7th hit, then elbowing them down on the last. Full Power Energy Wave can afterwards.
- Alternating String (HLHLH): 4th hit briefly stuns opponent, giving you time to follow up with either a Light Break, Infinity Rush (Festival) or Power Wall. For the final hit, Jiren uses his eyesockets to send a fast flurry of punches (much like Mach Punch) to the opponents way, sending them away with a long knockback. Full Power Energy Wave can also be used here afterwards as well.
- Grab: Same as Base Jiren & Toppo (God of Destruction)'s,. Uniquely, the opponent will slowly lose some of their stamina during the grab.
- Light Break: Pulls his left fist back, before striking.
- Heavy Break: Rotates slightly, before hitting the opponent across the face.
- Backhit: An instantenous elbow hit.
Usage Tips[]
Festival Of Universes[]
To unlock Jiren (FP)'s second preset, first you must find him in the Universe Lobby (6, 7 or 11). Talking to him will unlock his Camaraderie bar, which works similarly to the Mentor-Friendship bar. There are a variety of ways to increase the bar. To name a few, you can talk to him which will open up different dialogs depending if the RNG is in your favor, Parallel Quests, which is the fastest method of increasing his Camaraderie (recommendations include Parallel Quests 3, 23 and 83), Online Raid Quests or PvP. Depending on how much Glory Points you score during the Festival Of Universes events will also contribute to filling up the Camaraderie bar as well.
At max three stars, it will require you to talk to him, in which, he will reward you 1 Demon Realm Crystal and 1 Super Mix Capsule Z. Once his camaraderie bar has been maxed out, he will give you a shirt with an image of him slapped onto it as well as the option to fight him 1-on-1. Upon success, Preset 2 will be unlocked for you to use, which unlocks Infinity Rush, replacing Full Power Energy Wave.
