Ki Confirm was an advanced combo technique in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, where certain ranged attacks could trigger attacks that should be activated by melee hits instead. In version 1.10.00, with the release of DLC 7 it is no longer possible for Ultimate or Super Attacks to be activated by it, but regular combo strings still can.
Properties[]
The main principle of this technique is that attacks that need to check whether they're actually hit the opponent only check whether hit counter has gone up, no matter what attack did it. The attacks that can take advantage of it are mostly melee skills that have a part that will chase or teleport to the opponent, which includes strike skills, but also some basic melee combos. It is important to note that in case of melee strings, only those that can start with heavy attack will work, as the light string need to be near opponent to do its attack. The ranged hits can be triggered with basic Ki blasts, Ki supers or even ultimates. In order to work, the skill needs to hit opponent while you are free to move and use other moves.
