Special Beam Cannon (Beast) is a Ki Blast Ultimate Attack used by Gohan (Beast). This move is a reinvention of the original attack, now boosted by a tremendous amount.
It was first used in the movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, where Gohan (Beast) charges up an attack and enters an all-too familiar stance, bringing two fingers up to his forehead. After Orange Piccolo gives him the go, he fires the beam directly for Cell Max's forehead, which successfully pierces through his skull, killing the android.
Properties[]
User puts two fingers to their head, their hair flaring up (Gohan Beast only) as they charge it up for a time, then finally, releasing it as a massive unblockable beam. At the end, if the user has charged the attack past Stage 1, their expression falls. This move can be charged up to Stage 3 and deals more damage the closer you are to the opponent, and the less health you have.
- Uncharged (Stage 1) deals 40% damage.
- Stage 2 deals 60% damage.
- Stage 3 deals 80% damage.
If the user moves the control stick up while inputting the command for the move, they'll rush forward with a stun kick that, if successfully hit, automatically locks the opponent in a unvanishable cutscene. The blast will deal a total of 50% damage.
The kick can also penetrate through Super Armor.
Usage Tips[]
A stamina break + the stun kick is perhaps the easiest way of landing this move. It deals decent enough damage that way as well as guarantees the hit of the move itself. For Human Male, using the 5L3H knockdown will grant you the chance to land the attack. Other Ki Blasts CACs like Human Female can also land the attack using 1L2H and Saiyan Male using 5L2H. Gohan (Beast) can also land this at the end his 9L combo string, though bare in mind that the kick has limited range, so aim to have the opponent closer to the ground or a ground-like surface to guarantee the landing.
To deal the most damage possible out of this move, you'll have to have the opponent stamina broken or find some other viable way to keep them down, otherwise you'll find it near impossible to land Stage 3 of this move due to it's long charge up time, leaving you vulnerable to their attacks.
This move can also be comboed into the likes of Demon Ray or Gravity Impact after their initial blasts has been fired, using the stun-kick command immediately after.
