"Oh, before we begin, there's one small detail. I am immortal." ― Zamasu during his Initiation Test
Zamasu (ザマス Zamasu) is a playable character and mentor in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. He is the 7th DLC character to be added to the game, released as a playable character in Super Pack 3 on April 25th, 2017, and later as a mentor in Extra Pack 1 on December 5th, 2017. During the 'Festival of Universes' event, you could unlock a special festival skill for this character by achieving full camraderie with Zamasu.
Zamasu is the secondary antagonist of the Future Trunks Saga. He's a former Supreme Kai in training, previously apprentice to the Supreme Kai of Universe 10, Gowasu. After Goku Black traveled to Zamasu's timeline and killed his master, the two allied together and initiated a project to eliminate all mortal life: the Zero Mortal Plan. From that point forward, Zamasu and Black began to wreak havoc on Future Trunks' timeline.

Trivia[]
- Despite being referred to as just "Zamasu" by the game, both the playable character and mentor are specifically the future incarnation of Zamasu from Future Trunks' timeline. This is evident by the one green Potara visible on his left ear, and further supported by his Initiation Test, in which he fights the Future Warrior alongside Goku Black in the Future in Ruins stage.
- Zamasu doesn't have a running animation. Instead, he flies with his arms behind his back, a nod to his typical pose in the anime and manga.
